Moldova’s First Lady Margareta Timofti, together with the portal www.thewoman.md, is launching a campaign entitled “Donate a book for the grandparents!”, which is aimed at creating a library for elderly people from the old people’s home “Saint Gheorghe” situated in Draganesti commune of Sangerei district, IPN reports.

According to the presidential press service, at the start of March the First Lady will visit the old people’s home in Draganesti. Margareta Timofti will transmit them books, hygiene products and walking aids as well as the books that will be collected as donations.

Anyone who wants to donate a book for the library of the old people’s home can join the campaign. The books will be collected between March 1 and 7 at the central head office of the Municipal Library “B.P. Hasdeu” located at 148 Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Blvd. A box “For the Old People’s Home” will be placed in the library’s hall.
