Books and candies for orphans from Cahul and Cantermir from Romania
The Department for Romanians Everywhere and the Consulate General of Romania in Cahul donated books in the Romanian language and packets of sweets to 150 students of the Cahul high school “Ioan Vodă” and the Cantemir high school “Dimitrie Cantemir” within the Sleds of Hope campaign, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communiqué from the Consulate, books and games will be soon donated to the kindergarten in Burlacu village and other education institutions of Cahul district. 150 children in a difficult financial situation from Larga Noua, Baicu, Doina, and Gavanoasa villages will receive packets of clothes, candies and fruit.
The Sleds of Hope campaign is an attempt to bring joy and light to the children in need. It was launched with the support of companies from Bucharest, the Romanian counties Galati and Vaslui, and the Moldovan district Cahul.
