The head office of the Writers Union located on 31 August St in Chisinau was surrounded by police officers and the people who were inside were evacuated after an individual phoned the police and said that a bomb was put in the building.

Press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati has told IPN that the call to 902 was made close to 11am. Representatives of all the specialized services travelled to the scene to examine the place. The caller hasn’t been yet identified.

Two days ago, a bomb scare was experienced in the Parliament Building following a similar report, which turned out to be false.
