The Chisinau-based Romanian-French Theoretical Lyceum “Gheorghe Asachi” has experienced a bomb threat. Contacted by IPN, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati stated that an individual called the police at about 12 noon and said that a bomb had been put inside the lyceum.
Natalia Stati said the students and staff of the school were escorted out. The area was isolated and the bomb squad is searching the place. According to preliminary reports, the individual called from a public phone.
All the students and teachers are now in front of the lyceum. Several police officers manage traffic in the area. There are firefighters, rescuers and an ambulance at the scene.
