A man called the 112 service and said he would explode a grenade in the Cathedral Park in central Chisinau. The call was made at about 1pm today. The police fenced and secured the area, but the bomb squad found no explosives there, IPN reports.
All the specialized services were immediately dispatched to the scene and they searched the area, but didn’t find something dangerous.
The Buiucani Police Inspectorate started a criminal case. Action is taken to identify the caller.
