Two boys aged 16 and 13 called the 112 service and said that an explosive device was placed on the roof of the Chisinau Circus. The specialized services fenced the area and searched the place. It turned out to be a hoax, IPN reports.

According to the Chisinau Police Division, the call was made at about 12 noon. A bomb squad travelled to the scene immediately. There were found no suspicious objects or explosives.

The police are to determine the circumstances and reasons for which the minors made the call.

As the culprits are minors, they will not be punished, but their parents will be fined 450 to 900 lei or will be given 40 to 60 hours of community service.
