The 46th International Festival “Martsishor” will be opened by the opera in four acts “Bohemia” that will be directed by first conductor Andriy Yurkevich. It will be performed at the National Opera House on March 1, starting at 6pm, Info-Prim Neo reports. The opera under the music of Giacomo Puccini presents a series of events from the life of the Paris Bohemia of the 1830s. Soprano Olga Busuioc will play the part of Mimi, Italian Anna Corvino of Musettei, while the famous Turkish bass Bülent Ateşoğlu will appear in the role of Collin. Among other performers will be Ukraine’s Vladislav Goray (Rodolfo) and Moldovan Valeriu Caradja (Marcello). The performance will also involve the choir and orchestra of the National Opera House. On March 3, the ballet troupe of the National Opera House will go to Tiraspol to present the dance “Giselle”. The main role will be played by Master of Arts Cristina Terentiev together with Emeritus Artist Alexei Terentiev. Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s ballet “Nutcracker” will be staged at the National Opera House on March 9. The orchestra will be directed by conductor Svetlana Popov. Cristina Terentiev will play the part of Marie, Alexei Terentiev of the prince, while Gherciu of Drosselmeyer. The tickets to the opera “Bohemia” cost between 50 and 300 lei, while to the ballet “Nutcracker” – between 30 and 180 lei. The International Festival “Martsishor” is organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture. It will take place on March 1-9.
