Frogmen took the body of a 26-year-old man out of a pond in Sarata Noua village of Leova district. Civil Protection and Emergencies Service spokeswoman Dorina Sochirca has told Info-Prim Neo that the man drowned three days ago. The victim used to cross the pond in order to shorten the road home. It seems that the ice broke and there was nobody around to help him. The relatives found out about the young man’s death when the body was found. They knew he did not return home, but hoped he was alive. The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service warns the people to be cautious as the ice is very thin even if the temperatures are low.
