The body of the 12-year-old girl from Speia village of Anenii Noi district, who fell under the ice of the Nistru River in February, was found in an advanced state of putrefaction. The police were alerted by a man aged 37 from Telița Nouă village of the same distrust, IPN reports.

According to the General Police Inspectorate, the man found the body while on the bank of the river in the afternoon of May 14, at 5:35. When on the spot, the police determined that it was the girl who went missing in February.

On February 24, she fell under the thin ice of the Nistru River, where she went together with other children.
