The body of a newborn was found in a bag by a worker of the waste sorting station based in Ciocana district of Chisinau in the afternoon of June 20.
Press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati has told IPN that the police were alerted by the station’s administration.
The police started a criminal case and are to determine what sector the bag was brought from so as to try and discover the mother’s identity. Medical examiners are to establish the cause and time of death.
