The body of the man who died in the Genoa bridge collapse was transported to Moldova by a contracted company and all the costs will be covered by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, IPN has learned from the General Inspectorate for Emergencies.
At the request of Prime Minister Pavel Filip, the Inspectorate, together with the central public authorities, will provide the assistance needed by the family of the man who died to bury him. The man was 44 and was from Taraclia village of Căușeni district.
About 100 meters of the bridge in Genoa collapsed on August 14 over an industrial area. The Morandi Bridge connects the A10 highway that goes toward the French Riviera and the A7 highway that continues north toward Milan.
