The body of a child born prematurely was found in a trash bag at the garbage storage and recycling point in Ciocana district of Chisinau.
Press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati has told IPN that the medical examiner who travelled to the scene established that the child was born dead in the fifth or sixth month of pregnancy. A more thorough medical-legal examination will be performed.
If it is confirmed that is was spontaneous abortion, the woman who gave birth to the child will not be held accountable. This hasn’t been yet identified.
