The body of actor and humorist Gheorghe Parlea will be laid at the National Theater “Luceafarul” and will be there between 10am and 12pm on February 6, IPN reports.
President Igor Dodon signed an obituary in memory of the actor, where he says that Gheorghe Parlea was a remarkable personality of the national theater, who dedicated all his life to the cultural development of the country and managed to create real values for society.
“The roles played by him in the films “Valeu-valeu don’t give me drink“, “Who wants to advance pays“ will remain alive in our memory as these are appreciated for their authenticity and naturalism. His role in plays will also be remembered, especially those that were played together with his good friend Gheorghe Urschi…. We express our condolences to the families, relatives and all those who admired and praised him as a man and exceptional personality,” reads the obituary.
After many years of studies in acting the country and abroad, Gheorghe Parlea returned to Chisinau in 1967 and was included in the play “In search of the smile”, becoming shortly a special presence in the theater life.
As the first director of the Chisinau Theater “Luceafarul” appointed in 1989, he managed to shape the development directions of the theater and culture in general, despite the existential conditions.
The actor died of diabetes complications on the night of February 4.
