The bodies of the woman and her son aged four, who died in an apartment building situated at 11/5 Moscovei Blvd in Chisinau in the evening of October 6, were recovered.

Contacted by IPN, Liliana Pușcașu, press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, said the rescuers took the bodies out of the debris at about 10:30pm on October 7.

The elderly woman who lived on the 15th floor hasn’t been yet found.

The blast affected a number of apartments on the 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th floors of stair No. 6 of the block. A man aged 77 died in the hospital as a result of the received injuries. A fireman hurt during the rescue operation and a woman in whose apartment the explosion occurred, who suffered serious burns, remain hospitalized.
