The bodies of the Moldovans who died in the Ivory Coast plane crash will be repatriated on October 26 at 8:40pm, local time. The other two Moldovan crew members who survived the accident are already at home, IPN quoted the operator Valan International Cargo Charter as saying.
A five-member commission consisting of representatives of the Civil Aviation Authority of Moldova, under the guidance of the representative of the Ministry of Economy and Road Infrastructure of Moldova, will travel to Abidjan to take part in the investigation of the accident.
The plane crashed in the morning of October 14 when failing to land safely at the airport in Abidjan amid unfavorable weather conditions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova said the aircraft An-26, ER-AVB performed flights for the French army and had ten persons on board, six of whom were Moldovans and four were citizens of France. Four Moldovans died.
