Children from Moldovan boarding schools who remained without parents will enjoy themselves at the tenth “Abracadabra” holiday that is organized by the Association “Amici dei Bambini, Moldova”. It will take place in the central park of Chisinau on May 20, Info-Prim Neo reports. The event is held within the Family Festival promoted by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family with the support of the UN. For ten years, the holiday “Abracadabra” has been staged on the last but one Sunday of May. The program of the holiday includes a musical performance by children’s artistic groups of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport and games, creative arts, painting and face drawing workshops. The children will enjoy a magic moment when hundreds of colored balloons will be released into the sky. Thousands of children from the whole world will cry in unison the magic formula “Abracadabra! A family for every child!” “Abracadabra” is mounted simultaneously in the countries were the Association “Amici dei Bambini” works. The association is a family movement founded in Italy in 1986. It organized different activities for abandoned children in 26 countries. In Moldova, “Amici dei Bambini” started work over 14 years ago. Its mission is to promote the fundamental children’s right to family. The event is organized in partnership with the Association “Children’s Friends”, the Center of Social Services for the Child and Family and the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport of the Chisinau Municipal Council.
