The boar hunting season in the Transnistrian region will be prolonged owing to the high number of wild boars. Thus, from June until December, the hunting amateurs will be able to hunt 400 boars as well as wolves, a Transnistrian news agency reported, quoted by IPN.
The decision was taken by the central administration of the region following complaints submitted by residents of Grigoriopol and Dubasari. The boars cause damage to the crops when in large number, while the wolves often attack cattle and sheep. A special team will be constituted to shoot these animals.
More than 200 wild boars were shot in the Transnistrian region since last October until this February.
