The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) proposes a series of explainer videos that present financial concepts and useful advice for daily life, which are more often tied to the fast development of financial products and services, in a succinct and accessible form. For example, if a person wants to make different payments with the bank card without going to the bank, from a distance, simply, rapidly and conveniently, online or by transfer, the card should be protected.
The owners should not reveal card data to anyone, even to family members or bank employees. They should make purchases online only on credible websites. If the person lost the card or there is something wrong with this, the bank should be immediately informed so that the card is blocked. The recommendations were presented in the framework of a campaign launched by the central bank, IPN reports.
As regards the way in which the security of online traders can be checked to avoid situations when a person made purchases online, the money was transferred, while the products didn’t come, the data from the card should be kept safe. Online purchases should be made from sellers that have 3D secure systems. If the person is contacted to provide card data, the dialogue should be interrupted and the bank should be contacted.
