An apartment building under construction situated in Telecentru quarter of Chisinau started to burn in the morning of January 5. Eight firefighting teams struggled to contain the blaze during over an hour, IPN reports.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, it is a 12-story building situated on Gh. Asachi St in Chisinau. The firemen determined that pieces of polypropylene caught fire in the basement and the fire rose to the roof through the space between floors.
No one was hurt in the fire. The apartment building wasn’t put into operation. The fire was localized at about 10:31am. The rescuers are taking measures to extinguish the fire. The circumstances and cause of fire are yet to be found out.
