The Electoral Bloc of the Communists and Socialists on May 14 filed the documents to the Central Election Commission for being registered as a contender in the July 11 snap parliamentary elections, IPN reports.
Socialist MP Vlad Batrîncea said their list contains 101 candidates, but he didn’t specify how many of them are from the Party of Socialists and how many are from the Party of Communists. He also said that the list is topped by Vladimir Voronin, Igor Dodon and Zinaida Grechanyi. According to Batrîncea, the team is powerful, prepared and ready to assume responsibility for the situation in Moldova.
Oleg Reidman, former Communist MP, said they did huge work, but given the experience they accumulated in other election campaigns, during a short period of time they managed to compile the list and documents of the electoral bloc. The CEC has seven days to pronounce on the correctness of the submitted documents.
Also today, applications to be registered and the required documents were filed by the Electoral Bloc “Renato Usatyi”, “Building Europe At Home” Party and the Joint Action “Civic Congress” Party. Former Romanian MP Cristian Rizea also submitted the documents, announcing his intention to run independently.
A draw will be held after 4pm to decide the order on the ballot for the July 11 snap parliamentary elections of those who applied to be registered today.
