Blast disrupts gas supply in Causeni, Stefan Voda
An explosion occurred early on Sunday morning 4:20AM along the section Saiti-Opaci of a gas pipeline in Causeni district, Info-Prim Neo has learned from a governmental press release.
The explosion, whose causes are yet to be determined, occurred at a 4-meter depth and damaged a portion of 12 meters of the pipeline. As a result, gas supplies were disrupted to several locations in Causeni and to the neighboring district of Stefan Voda.
Prime Minister Vlad Filat traveled to the scene to manage the situation. Filat received assurances that the pipeline would be restored and supplies resumed within 72 hours.
