Black Sea Letex Expo attended by over 60 companies

More than 60 companies from Moldova, Romania, Russia, Italy and Turkey are expected to display their products at the VIII International Specialized Exhibition "Black Sea Letex". The exhibition was inaugurated on Thursday with two fashion presentations held on Thursday at the Expo Center Moldexpo in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. Attending the opening ceremony Deputy Economy and Trade Minister Sergiu Sainciuc said that the light industry exhibition Black Sea Letex is an efficient instrument for supporting domestic producers. This is also the only specialized business forum which helps to optimize the assortment of clothing offered for sale in Moldova, develop fashion trends, foster implementation of new technologies, boosts competitiveness in the field and serves as a price indicator not just for the sellers but also for the buyers, Sainciuc said. According to the deputy director of the clothing manufacturing “Ionel”, Tamara Luchian, the exhibition features new collections of men's wear, mostly suits, women's wear, and children's wear. “The prices are acceptable for everyone. Men's suits are priced around 1,200-3,000 lei (about $120-$300)”, exemplified Luchian. "Black Sea Letex - 2008" is organized by the Ministry of Economy and Trade in cooperation with the Light Industry Employers' Association and will run through October 12.
