These are some of the most important results of the meeting between Speaker and concurrently interim President Marian Lupu with the heads of Parliament-subordinated agencies, on Wednesday, March 9, Info-Prim Neo reports. The meeting took place two weeks after a similar event when Marian Lupu heavily criticized the activity of these institutions. “The price of biometric passports will be nearly halved”, said Marian Lupu after the officials had reported the results of their activity. Thus, a biometric passport issued in 6 hours will cost 1500 lei, twice cheaper than previously announced. According to Marian Lupu, the head of “Registru” Vladimir Molojen will be dismissed for improper management of funds. Lupu thinks the state institutions’ main problem is the regulation of prices, which are often inflated.
