Biomass boilers, mushrooms, antibiotics and others at “Made in Moldova” exhibition

The national exhibit “Made in Moldova” brought together producers from all over the country at the exhibitions center “Moldexpo”. During six days, over 350 producers will promote their goods and services, the Chamber of Trade and Industry has said, quoted by IPN.

In the opening of the event, Prime Minister Pavel Filip said a business entity now shouldn’t be large, but should be intelligent. The Government he heads is pro-business and aims to make investments in the public and private sectors.

Victor Manastirli from Ciadar Lunga is a blacksmith and makes metallic gates, garden furniture and metallic boilers. He exhibited a biomass boiler that can heat a home of 150-200 square meters. The entrepreneur has told IPN that he decided to make boilers owing to the large quantity of waste and biomass present in his settlement. He made the first boiler about five years ago. A boiler made in Ciadar-Lunga costs about 30,000 lei.

Director of Nectar-S Pavel Andrianov cultivates mushrooms “champignon”. Until 2014, the entrepreneur produced packed juices and wine, but had to change his area of activity after Russia imposed a ban on Moldovan imports. The company bought the necessary equipment and cultivates white and royal champignon mushrooms. The products are packed in plastic and wood. The production varies between 20 and 30 tonnes a month and is sold in Moldova’s supermarkets.

Arillu offers bags made from ecological leather for 200 to 780 lei. The company’s main clients are now women, but they will start to also produce bags for men in two months, said the company’s representative.

For the first time, companies from Romania display products at “Made in Moldova” within the exhibit “Made in Iasi”. Director of the representative office in Moldova of Antibiotice Iasi Anton Mihoc said they have been present in Moldova since 2013. The company sells anti-inflammatory and anti-infectious medications, drug for the digestive, urinary and gynecological systems, unguents and creams. Antibiotice Iasi is a leading producer in Romania and the first world producer of the active substance nystatin.

The national exhibition “Made in Moldova” is held between January 31 and February 5. It includes a number of bilateral economic forums and a job fair.
