The 11 bills for which the Government assumed responsibility can be submitted to the head of state for promulgation as no censure motion was put forward in the set period, the head of the Parliament’s Communication Division Svetlana Ursu has told IPN.
The bills provide for increasing the salaries of some categories of budget-funded employees and for doubling the state benefit for pensioners, for withdrawing the immunity of judges and toughening up the disciplinary punishment for them. There is also the bill on the combating of money laundering among them.
Head of Parliament Igor Corman is to sign the bills and to send them to President Nicolae Timofti for promulgation.
Under the legislation, if the MPs during 72 hours oppose at least one of the bills for which the Government assumed responsibly, the Cabinet has to resign.
