All the billboards located along Stefan cel Mare si Sfânt Blvd in Chisinau will be dismantled in the course of this week. In the March 28 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, the head of Centru district Poiata said the billboards will be taken away because repair works will be carried out on the main artery of Chisinau, IPN reports.

Oleg Poiata noted that if the advertising companies do not comply with the requirements, the billboards will be dismantled by force by employees of the municipal services. The given companies were first informed about the need to dismantle the billboards in 2014.

On February 11, Oleg Poiata was dismissed from the post of head of Centru district by the Chisinau Municipal Council for professional misconduct and non-fulfillment of his duties. By a press release later, it was announced that Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca classed the given decision as illegal and ordered that the functionary should continue to hold office.
