A roundtable for labour inspectors from the southern region of the country will be organised on October 1 and 2 in Cahul, in which the Bill on Safety and Health at Work will be debated. The new law is to replace the Law on Labour Protection dated 1991 and has the purpose of implementing new measures for the improvement of safety and health conditions of employees at work. The draft law has been examined by the international expert in the domain of labour inspection and protection, Wolfgang von Richthofen, and has been adjusted to the best legislative practices of the EU member states. The event is organised by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce in cooperation with TACIS "Support to PCA and WTO Implementation and to EU/Moldova European Neighbourhood Policy Action Plan (ENPAP).
