Bill adjusting privileges for former presidents submitted to debates

A draft law put up for  public debates provides for the adjustment of privileges for former presidents by excluding provisions that supply them with offices and personal assistants, but that would make it possible for them to benefit from “on demand” cars.

According to the legal reasoning, the bill aims to "optimize budget spending". According to estimates, as a result of the new provisions, public expenditures will shrink by half a million lei annually.

The project is elaborated and submitted to public debates by the State Chancellery.
