Bilateral consultations on Transnistrian issue to be held in Moscow

Moldovan-Russian consultations involving representatives of the two countries at the Transnistrian conflict settlement talks in the 5+2 format will take place in Moscow next week, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Victor Osipov has told Info-Prim Neo. “We will have the possibility of discussing in more detail Russia's proposals for resolving the Transnistrian dispute as not all the aspects can be taken into account at the talks in the 5+2 format,” said Osipov, who heads the Moldovan delegation to the consultations. Victor Osipov said that earlier this week he met with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Philip Remler. They conferred on the measures aimed at building confidence between Chisinau and Tiraspol that were agreed during the informal talks held in Vienna on March 1 and 2. The Deputy Prime Minister also said that the Moldovan delegation hopes to meet with representatives of the Transnistrian authorities before the consultations that will be held in Moscow.
