Beware of new virus on Telegram. Bank details can be stolen

The "Mamont" virus is spreading on the Telegram platform, through which bank details can be stolen from the phone, IPN reports.

Users receive videos with the message "Are you?" and, if the file is opened, the virus is downloaded onto the smartphone and gains access to data, such as push notifications, SMS messages or photos.

In addition, after downloading the virus, the file is intentionally sent to everyone in the user’s contact list.

To prevent malware attacks, users are urged to never open files from unknown senders, install an antivirus on their phone, and warn people in their contact list about this.

The authorities in the field have not yet commented on the spread of the given malware.
