Best ten journalists of 2012 get their ‘apples’

The Independent Journalism Center and the Committee for the Freedom of the Press awarded the best ten journalists of the year. The Award Gala took place at the National Theater “Mihai Eminescu” on December 13. This year the winners were designated at a contest of journalistic materials that was launched in September and on the basis of the nominalizations of civil society, Info-Prim Neo reports. The 10 crystal apples pierced by a bronze arrow went to: Galina Munteanu, TV7; Vitalie Dogaru, Publika TV; Olga Grosul, Kommersant.md; Ion Preasca, newspaper “Adevarul Moldova”; Elena Robu, ProTV; Victor Mosneag, paper “Ziarul de Garda”; Alecu Renita, magazine “Natura”; Irina Matsenko, newspaper “Ekonomicesckoe obozrenie Logos- Press”; Tudor Yashchenko, paper “Cuvantul”, and Natalia Porubin, investigation journalist. There were also awarded four special prizes: Excellence Prize for Journalistic Longevity – to writer and publicist Ion Druta; Hope of the Year – to Alla Ceapai, Radio Free Europe; Début of the Year – to stiripozitive.eu; Prize for Documentary Revelations – to Igor Casu and Mihai Tasca, the column “Archives of Communism”.
