Best teacher of 2012 goes to Tallinn

The best teacher of the year Lucia Argint-Caldare will go on a trip to Estonia’s capital Tallinn. The trip is a prize offered by the Chisinau City Hall in gratitude for the teacher’s work. Lucia Argint-Caldare was invited to the October 8 meeting of Chisinau City Hall officials, where she was congratulated on her title, Info-Prim Neo reports. The head of the Mayor’s department Lilian Carp said that Lucia Argint-Caldare is a teacher of history at “Gheorghe Asachi” High School. “We are very glad that a teacher from Chisinau became the teacher of the year in Moldova. This shows that the level of education in the municipality of Chisinau is higher than in other parts of the country,” he stated. On this occasion, the City Hall organized a trip to Estonia for the teacher, within which Lucia Argint-Caldare will be able to study the reform implemented by the Estonians in education and to exchange experience. The head of the Chisinau General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said that Lucia Aargint-Caldare competed in the high school division that involved about 1,000 teachers from all over the country, 300 of whom from Chisinau municipality.
