A collection of poems and aphorisms by Grigore Vieru will be printed under the patronage of the Chisinau City Hall. The book will be edited by writer Spiridon Vangheli, who was a good friend of the late poet. The volume is now in the form of manuscript and will be published by spring, Info-Prim Neo reports. Spiridon Vangheli said the book will contain poems dedicated to the mother, poems about the war and poems that are best liked by children. “It is hard to select the best poems of Vieru, who became the father of all the children. His poems find an alter ego in our souls and we cannot say which are his best and his good poems,” he stated. The book will be printed within a municipal project aimed at supporting the cultural personalities. The Culture Division's head Lucia Culev said the municipal authorities will make sure that this book reaches as many students in Chisinau as possible. The Chisinau administration this year plans to reedit collections of poems and stories by important Moldovan writers and to revive forgotten cultural works.
