On Friday, February 8, the Palace of the Republic hosted the awarding ceremony of State Prizes for Quality and awards for the Best Trade Mark of 2007 and Best Taxpayer of 2007. Ten companies were awarded the State Prize of first degree for quality achievements in 2007, among which Milestii Mici Winery, the internet service provider MoldData, the hotel chain Codru, the tobacco processing company Tutun-CTC, and the mobile operator Moldcell. 10 companies were awarded state prizes for quality of second degree, and another 12 received diplomas. 92 companies were named the best taxpayers of the year, among which The Moldova Railway, the companies Artmet, Avicola-Nord, Efes Vitanta Moldova Brewery, Orhei-Vit, Viorica Cosmetic, Zorile, etc. The winners of the 2007 Best Trade Mark Contest are Sudzucker Moldova, Dionysos-Mereni, Moldova Mail, Giuvaier, Barza Alba, Alfa Nistru, the Free Trade Zone Ungheni-Business, and others. The event was attended by President Voronin and Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev. The awards ceremony took place as part of the National Exhibition Made in Moldova, held under the patronage of the Government at the Moldexpo Centre during February 5-10.
