The most profitable national companies, best trademarks and businessman with remarkable results and initiatives in 2016, who demonstrated that they are authentic pillars of the national economy, were awarded at the Moldovan Business Gala in the evening of June 16, IPN reports.
There were awarded the laureates of the contests “Trademark of the Year 2016” and “Quality Achievements Award” and of the national exhibition “Made in Moldova”.
Twenty-three companies got awards in the categories “Reputation and Confidence” and “Established Trademark”, 17 in “Consumer Appreciation” and “Local Trademark” and 20 in “Debut of the Year”, trademark “Export” and trademark “Inter”. Seventeen companies received trophies in the category “Favorite of the Year”. The prizes in “Made in Moldova” were handed over to 15 local public authorities and a Joint Chamber of Trade and Industry, which presented the services in their region at common stands.
Chairman of the Chamber of Trade and Industry of Moldova Sergiu Harea said the intention is to present what Moldova has best, including famous brands and companies that invest in quality and competitiveness. “With over 14 editions of the Gala behind, we see that the Moldovan businesses are increasingly interested in showing what the businessmen do, what products and services they provide for consumers. The companies invest in competitiveness. They increased the number of employees, production volume and exports. They deserve these awards,” stated Sergiu Harea.
State Agency on Intellectual Property director general Lilia Bolocan said the Trademark of the Year is a platform for competition, while competitiveness is a guarantee of quality. “All these have a clear goal – to develop and stimulate the national economy. The citizen of the Republic of Moldova is the main beneficiary of these actions,” stated Lilia Bolocan.
“We are glad that we have profitable and successful businesses in the Republic of Moldova. Daily consumption is a stimulus for our economy and by this we support the national products and contribute each to the development of the national economy,” Minister of Economy Octavian Calmac said in the ceremony.
The Moldovan Business Gala was initiated with the aim of presenting the most successful business projects, increasing their competitiveness and contributing to enhancing professionalism. Among the objectives are also to promote companies that implement quality management standards and to motivate the national companies to penetrate new markets with competitive and high-quality products.
