The Federation of Associations of Bessarabians (FAB) of Romania is launching a campaign themed “Together in Europe” to inform the students about the importance of the Vilnius EaP Summit. In two conferences in Cluj-Napoca and Constanta on November 8 and 15, the young people will be urged to support Moldova’s European course. Simultaneously, there will be disseminated a video and leaflets about the summit and the country’s European prospects. Similar events will take place in Chisinau, IPN reports.
The Federation’s head Dumitru Cotruta told a news conference that the initialing of the Association Agreement in Vilnius will foster the country’s development in the social, economic and cultural spheres. As a result of the creation of the free trade area with the EU, the state budget and the GDP per capita will rise. There will be created new workplaces. The young people will have access to better education.
FA adviser Petru Ciobanu said the students will only benefit from the Association Agreement after its initialing and signing. Besides access to studies of a high quality, they will benefit from European grants for organizing summer camps.
FAB deputy head Constantin Cernega said the information campaign will continue after the November 29 Vilnius Summit.
