The persons who receive electricity and gas subsidies from the Government will get additional support to pay the bills if their energy vulnerability increases. The additional subsidies will be paid retroactively, since the application is registered on the portal compensatii.gov.md. A decision to this effect was adopted by the Commission for Exceptional Situations, IPN reports.
Under the decision, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection will transfer 50 million lei in advance from the Energy Vulnerability Reduction Fund to SA “CET-Nord” for paying subsidies to vulnerable consumers for January-February 2023. SA “CET-Nord” will monthly report the spent amount and will transfer back the balance if the advance is higher than the total sum of paid subsidies.
The Commission also took a decision concerning the temporary placement centers for refugees. It decreed that the Ministry of Finance will allocate 2.159,4 million lei from the Government’s Intervention Fund to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection for running these centers.
By another decision, the Commission suspended the issuing of electronic transit visas identified by symbols A and B for a number of states for the period of the state of emergency. The applications for type B and C visas will be submitted individually to embassies and consular officers exclusively based on a personal interview.
