Beneficiaries of compensations for heat must file only application this year
The Chisinau residents who benefited from compensation for heat last year will not have to submit the necessary documents again. They will only have to lodge an application, asking that they be provided with compensations the current heating season as well, Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca announced at Monday's meeting of the municipal services and divisions, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the mayor, even if the regulations say the beneficiaries must renew the documents every year, this year the procedure will be simplified for the about 18,000 persons who receive compensations. He suggested telling the persons who now earn more than 1,450 lei a month to renounce the compensations by application.
The Chisinau administration transferred earlier 2.815 million lei to Moldova's Post Office. This sum represents compensations for trips by public units of transport for more than 40,000 persons. Money for another 8,800 persons will be transferred today. As many as 48,833 pensioners, invalids, women on maternity leave, unemployed persons and other groups of people filed applications to get compensations for trips. The Second World War veterans, who travel by public means of transport free of charge, also asked that they be paid compensations instead of being offered concessions, the mayor said.
The Chisinau City Hall paid 20 million lei in compensations for heat the previous heating season and is to pay 10 million lei more intended for the residents of the suburban settlements who use gas heating systems.
