Prosecutors demand jailing a judge of the Bender Appeals Court, who is accused of illegally passing judgment that had serious consequences. The Causeni District Court is to pronounce sentence on April 9, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the judge legalized the decision of the ad-hoc arbitration in St. Petersburg concerning the sale of shareholdings in BC Moldova Agroindbank SA.
The Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office demands sentencing the judge to four years in jail and banning him from holding public posts for a five-year period.
At the request of the prosecutor general, the Supreme Council of Magistrates suspended the judge from post.
