The shareholders of Banca de Economii (BEM) can subscribe for the additional share issue of 80.24 million lei over the next few days. The share issue was launched on August 2, starting at 11am, when the General Extraordinary Assembly of Shareholders began, IPN reports.

It is a closed-type share issue. The shareholders will announce in writing, by correspondence, if they want to subscribe for the shares that they can buy depending on their shareholding in the BEM.

The state owns a majority holding of 56.1% in the bank, the legal entities hold together 40.9% of the shares, while the private individuals – 2.6%.

If the additional closed-type share issue is successful, the capital of the BEM will rise from 117.3 million lei to 197.5 million lei.
