Belorussian citizens in Moldova can elect their President from today
A polling place was established at the Embassy of Belarus in Chisinau for the Belorussian presidential elections. The elections will take place on Sunday, December 19, but the voters can make their choice beforehand.
Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, the Embassy's adviser on political matters Alexandr Soloviov said about 500 persons are expected to vote at the polling place in Chisinau. If there are requests, a mobile ballot box will be taken to the voters. Voting beforehand is possible between December 14 and 18.
In a communique, the Embassy says that approximately 1,000 foreign observers will be overseeing the December 19 elections in Belarus. This is the largest number of observers per polling place in a country.
More than 870 foreign observers have been already authorized to monitor the elections, including representatives from Moldova.
