The Belarusian Culture Days will take place in Moldova in the period between September 30 and October 2. The event is organized by the ministries of culture of the two states and is designed to promote the customs and traditions of Belarus and to intensify the bilateral cooperation relations in the field of culture, IPN reports.
The event will be inaugurated at the National Philharmonic “Sergey Lunkevich” in Chisinau, with a concert by the State Folk Music Ensemble “Sveata”, on September 30. The ensemble will also give a concert at the Municipal Palace of Culture in Balti town on October 1.
Another event staged on the occasion of the Belarusian Culture Days is an exhibition of Gobelin tapestry at the National Philharmonic on September 30. The exhibits include 16 works by famous artists who are members of the Union of Plastic Artists of Belarus. All the works were made based on the traditional culture of weaving, knitting and textile mosaic, by using stylistic methods and technologies and also jute, synthetics and ceramics, which are typical of the contemporary decorative applied arts in Belarus.
In the period, the Center of Culture and Arts “Odeon” will screen a number of Belarusian films, including “White roses. The Return”, ”Traces of the apostles” and “Brest Fortress”, and animation films made at the studio “Belarusfilm”.
