The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration invited the Ambassador of Belarus in Chisinau to provide explanations over the statements made by President Alexandr Lukashenko, who said that “today Ukraine, tomorrow it will be the Republic of Moldova or the Baltic States, Poland or Romania”, IPN reports.
Following these statements, the Ministry ordered to invite the Ambassador of Belarus to the institution to provide explanations and to be familiarized with the Republic of Moldova’s principled position: the country’s citizens strongly condemn Russia’s war against Ukraine.
The Ministry said it regrets the role played by Belarus in promoting Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine and the repeated dissemination of messages that are designed to generate disinformation and fake news.
Two days ago, giving a speech Alexandr Lukashenko said that the United States is pushing Europe towards a military confrontation with Russia on the territory of Ukraine. According to him, the U.S. benefits from the war in Ukraine and the place of Ukraine tomorrow can be taken by the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Poland and the Baltic States.
