Works will be started this spring to clean and lay out the bed of the Durlesti River that flows into the lake in “Valea Morilor” Park. The works will be performed based on the contract on the provision of non-reimbursable financing of 7.4 million lei signed within the Joint Operational Program Romania – Ukraine – Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.
According to a communique of the water supplier SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau”, a technical project was worked out in parallel to extend the wastewater drainage system along the bed of the Durlesti River. The works to build the system on the river segment along 27 august St in Buiucanii Vechi sector were assessed at about 4 million lei. This money could be provided from the National Ecological Fund.
Before starring the works to lay out the riverbed, the drainage system must be built from the administrative border of Durlesti town up to the connection point on Cornului St. Additional investments of 4.8 million lei are needed for the purpose. This money is to be identified by the Chisinau Municipal Council based on the 2015 municipal budget.
