The vice chairman of the parliamentary group of the Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists Corneliu Furculiță said it is evident that they will not vote for Natalia Gavrilița to become Prime Minister. Two attempts to vote in Natalia Gavrilița were made earlier and she wasn’t supported even by her party mates, IPN reports.
The Bloc’s MPs didn’t go to the consultations initiated by President Maia Sandu, suggesting that President Sandu should hold consultations inside Parliament. “But she didn’t come. Missis President probably considers she should come to Parliament only with statements that last for over 40 minutes and are sterile in parts. We regret that Missis President didn’t come to meet with our group,” the MP stated in a news conference.
President Maia Sandu for July 30 announced consultations with the parliamentary groups for identifying a candidate for Prime Minister. After the consultations, she signed a decree by which she nominated Natalia Gavrilița for Prime Minister. Natalia Gavrilița has two weeks to form the team and to design the government program that she will present in Parliament.
