BCS MPs ask to exclude a number of bills from agenda

The parliamentary group of the Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists requested to remove a number of bills from the agenda of the August 13 sitting of Parliament. Among these are the bills on the appointment of the director of the National Anticorruption Center, on the prosecution service, on the Superior Council of Magistracy and other initiatives submitted by the MPs of the Party of Acton and Solidarity, IPN reports.

At the start of the sitting, BCS MP Vasile Bolea asked to exclude the bail concerning the procedure for naming the NAC director by which the candidate selection contest is excluded. He said the holding of a contest is the most democratic form of choosing the director of an institution, noting the bill wasn’t appraised and debated.

He also requested to exclude the bill on the National Integrity Authority and the declaring of property and personal interests.

All the proposals to exclude items from the agenda formulated by the BCS MPs were short of votes.

In another development, Speaker Igor Grosu said the MPs, the members of the Parliament’s Standing Bureau must come and work at the meetings and not boycott them.
