The MPs of the Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists said the citizens are concerned about the fact that the Republic of Moldova subscribed to statements by which it undertook to host refugees from Afghanistan. They wonder how many refugees Chisinau intends to welcome, where they will be accommodated and what sources will be used, IPN reports.
“We regret the fact that the citizens of this country are now in the situation to flee the native country, even if we know who is to blame for this chaos in Afghanistan,” MP Grigore Novac told a news conference.
The MP wonders who empowered the Government to subscribe to statements by which Moldova commits itself to host Afghani refugees and why the authorities didn’t ask the citizens when they decided to accept migrants from Afghanistan.
“Who assumes all the risks related to the national security and public order if these refugees are accepted?” asked rhetorically Grigore Novac.
