The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) chose 12 candidates for the six vacancies of member of the Supervisory Board of the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio-Moldova”, IPN reports.
Of the 24 candidates who filed applications, the BCC selected Ion Bunduchi, Vitalie Tapes, Vasile Chirilescu, Tudor Osoianu, Nicolae Spataru, Petru Macovei, Stela Nistor, Lilian Boboc, Alexandru Leanca, Ludmila Vasilache, Lilia Gurez, and Andrei Luchianciuc.
In their speeches in the meting of the BCC, the selected candidates said that “Teleradio-Moldova” needs a change both as regards the editorial policy and the management method.
“The Council made sure that all the selected candidates meet the conditions for becoming members of the Supervisory Board. The candidates include experts from different fields and experienced persons. The voting was public,” said the BCC chairman Marian Pocaznoi.
The Council chose by two candidates for every vacancy, while Parliament will select six of them.
The Council has nine members. The terms in office of six of them - the Board’s secretary Aurelia Peru-Balan, Viorica Bogatu (Cucereanu), Eugeniu Rybka, Viorica Mesina-Prodan, Raisa Lozinschi-Hadei, and Vitalie Tapes – expired.
