BCC recommends broadcasters to disseminate social videos about online child safety

The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) recommended the TV and radio stations to broadcast free several social videos about the importance of Internet child safety during prime time. Such a request was made by the Center for Combating Cybercrime of the National Investigations Inspectorate, IPN reports.

The head of the Center’s Child Protection Section Alexandru Putere said this campaign is important because more and more children use the Internet and the parents must realize the necessity of monitoring their online communication.

The videos will be broadcast during three months, starting with March. Seven cases of pedophilia and pedophilia attempts in which the culprits used the Internet to communicate with children were recorded over the past year.
