The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) is selecting candidates for filling six posts of member of the Supervisory Board of the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio-Moldova”. Twenty-four candidates applied for the six posts, the Council’s secretary Dorina Curnic has told IPN. The deadline for applications was December 2.
The candidates are Alexandru Grosu, Eugeniu Rybka (for a new term), Ion Bunduchi, Vitalie Tapes (for a new term), Nicu Scorpan, Vasile Chirilescu, Tudor Osoianu, Nicolae Spataru, Dumitru Tira, Petru Macovei, Ilie Rotaru, Grigore Ciorici, Snejana Balan, Valentin Dorogan, Alexandru Popovici, Oleg Brega, Stela Nistor, Iurie Crijanovschi, Lilian Boboc, Alexandru Leanca, Ludmila Vasilache, Lilia Gurez, Andrei Luchianciuc, and Rodica Rosca.
The BCC will choose by two candidates for every vacancy, while Parliament will select six of them. The Council has nine members. The terms of six of them - the Board’s secretary Aurelia Peru-Balan, Viorica Bogatu (Cucereanu), Eugeniu Rybka, Viorica Mesina-Prodan, Raisa Lozinschi-Hadei, and Vitalie Tapes – expired.
The post of Supervisory Board member can be held by Moldovan citizens with higher education in culture, arts, cinematography, journalism, law, financial management and commercial organization management, public relations, international relations, academic studies, mass media, and engineering. The candidates must know the official language of Moldova and mustn’t have a criminal record.
